The Hawks have 32 victories in 46 games and are on pace to win 100 games.

Sho Nakata recorded his 6th game-winning RBI of the season last night (and second in as many days).
Eiichi Koyano was hit by a pitch on his right wrist during a Ni-gun game against Seibu on Wednesday and removed from the game. He was back in the starting line-up for a Ni-gun game against Seibu on Thursday, but was replaced after going 0-for-2 with 2 strikeouts.
The Fighters were concerned about Wednesday's HBP because Koyano was hit by a pitch in a similar area during an exhibition game earlier this year on 3/2 (vs Yakult at Sapporo Dome) and suffered a fracture.
Takahiro Okada was removed from last night's game after he hit his right knee against the wall while playing defense in the 10th inning. He did not go to the hospital and had the area iced.
Luis Garcia was activated yesterday but was not in the starting lineup. But he did get into the game as a defensive replacement at first in the top of the 7th and managed to collect a hit in his very first NPB at bat in the bottom of the 7th (single to center off Yokohama's Shintaro Ejiri).
Daily Sports: A fan shouted out "Hoshino-san, don't get so angry at the players" after last night games. Senichi Hoshino replied, "You be quiet!" (やかましいわ！この野郎！ could also be translated as "Shut up fool") Like Hanshin Tigers' manager Akinobu Mayumi a few days ago, it seems Hoshino couldn't keep his cool any longer.
