A couple other notes, from a Sanspo update:

The 12 teams set an Inter-league record by combining for a 2.80 ERA.  Breaking down the numbers a bit more, the Pacific League had a 2.38 ERA while the Central League had a 3.23 ERA.  The Nippon Ham Fighters and Softbank Hawks led the way with 1.35 and 1.75 ERAs, respectively.

Of the 144 Inter-league games played, 38 were shutouts.  That breaks the previous record of 33 shutouts in 216 Inter-league games.  The Fighters set an Inter-league record with 10 shutouts, with 5 of them coming consecutively.

153 homers were hit in 144 Inter-league games.  That produced the worst HR/G rate in Inter-league history at 1.06.  The Lions led all teams with 19 homers while the Carp and Tigers bottomed out at 5 and 6 respectively.
