I'll keep this updated throughout the day.
The Tigers' Inter-league Uniform Charity Auction began yesterday. A total 105 black uniforms, each individually signed, are available. Bids can be placed through to 7/12. The uniforms will also be put on display at the team store located in the Umeda Hanshin department store between 7/6 and 7/12.
Proceeds from the auction (except a portion to cover expenses) will be donated to relief efforts in northern Japan.
The Giants will be playing two games in Koriyama, Fukshima on 6/28 and 6/29 (vs Yakult). The media learned yesterday that they'll also hold an event for around 3000 kids on the 27th at Koriyama Kaiseizan Baseball Stadium. 10 or more players (including Shinnosuke Abe, Hisayoshi Chono, Hayato Sakamoto, and Takahiro Suzuki) will attend. This will make the Giants the first team in the NPB to hold a revitalization event in Fukshima.
The Giants will also be inviting 1,000 fans to each game on the two games they'll be playing.
The Lions announced that they raised 5,670,438 yen in donations between mid March and the end of Inter-league play. The Lions also announced that they will go ahead and donate the amount to relief efforts in northern Japan (through the Japanese Red Cross Society and Unicef).
The Eagles announced that they topped 100,000 in sales of their Ganbaro Tohoku stickers and patches (300 yen each). A portion of the sales (about 25M yen at this point) will be donated to relief efforts in northern Japan.
The Eagles are also donating 1M yen for each victory they record. With 21 victories, the Eagles will be donating at least 46M yen to relief efforts this year.
