Seibu Lions

Yusei Kikuchi started a Ni-gun game against Yokohama today and gave up 2 runs on 7 hits over 7 innings of work.  He threw a total 100 pitches; topped out at 145km/h; and used the new fork he's been working on.  This was also the first time he threw 100 pitches during an outing.

Chiba Lotte Marines

The Marines announced today that Tae-Kyun Kim returned Korea on the 20th in order to get treatment on his ailing back.  No word on when he'll be returning.

Shingo Ono joined the Ichi-gun roster for practice at QVC Marine today.  Ono has been working out at Ni-gun ever since he hurt his right leg (adductor muscle) and could get his first Ich-gun start since 4/29 some time during the team's 3-game series against the Nippon Ham Fighters (6/28 - 6/30).

Nippon Ham Fighters

The Fighters worked out at Yahoo Dome today.  Yu Darvish threw about 40 pitches in the bullpen and did some running and weight training.

Orix Buffaloes

During today's intra-squad game: Hiroshi Kisanuku gave up 2 runs over 4 innings; Chan Ho Park allowed 1 run over 4 innings; Yuki Nishi 2 runs on 8 hits over 5 innings.  After the game, Akinobu Okada told reporters he wasn't happy with Nishi's outing and that he was disappointed in the quality of his fastball.

Alfredo Figaro also tossed a shutout inning and topped out at 150km/h.

Rakuten Eagles

The Eagles announced today that they'll be hosting Lady Sta! 2011 during a 3-game series against the Orix Buffaloes (7/15 - 7/17).  The theme for this year's event will be Hawaii and as part of the festivities, the Hula Girls from Spa Resort Hawaiins will be on hand to perform on the 16th.
