Keiichi Hirano is ready to play second or center, wherever the team needs him (and dependent on whether or not Kanemoto is in the starting line-up).
Kyuji Fujikawa threw 26 pitches off the Koshien mound after infield drills yesterday. Mayumi stepped into the right-handed batter's box partway through; BP pitcher Yusuke Nakabayashi and Shinjiro Hiyama helped out by stepping into the left-handed batter's box (Hiyama saw around 9 pitches). Fujikawa also threw around 30 pitches in the bullpen the day before.

Kenji Jojima spent about 4 hours working out at Naruohama yesterday. His work outs included about 30 minutes of running and various indoor training exercises for areas of his body other than his ailing right elbow. Today marks two weeks since he first started his rehab.
