The All-Japan University team held it's first practice today.   They worked out at the Hosei University baseball field in Kawasaki.

Tomoyuki Sugano threw 48 pitches in the bullpen and told reporters he couldn't wait to play in some games.

Takahiro Fujioka threw 40 pitches and said, "My shoulder's fine.  I was able to show the coaches I can properly throw."  Fujioka had a tired/dead arm earlier on and wasn't very active during the team's 3-day mini-camp (6/17-6/19).

Yusuke Nomura threw 50 pitches and said he was looking for to the upcoming exhibition games because it'll provide him with opportunities to try things out.

Fujioka is expected to start tomorrow's game against the Eastern League mixed team; Nomura (second pitcher) and Sugano (fifth and final pitcher) are also slated to pitch.
