Softbank Hawks

Tsuyoshi Wada will probably get Wednesday's start against the Rakuten Eagles.

Seibu Lions

Yusei Kikuchi joined the Ichi-gun team for practice yesterday and told reporters that he hasn't been informed of anything but would love another opportunity to pitch in an Ichi-gun game.  He could get Thursday's start against the Orix Buffaloes.

Chiba Lotte Marines

The Marines wore their pink retro uniforms Sunday (they'll wear the uniform 5 times this season and this was the 2nd time).  Kazuya Fukuura recalled the days when he actually wore the uniform: "I was a pitcher back then and I wore the number 70.  I do feel a little nostalgic."

Nippon Ham Fighters

Yuki Saito took off for Sapporo out of Narita Airport yesterday.  He'll be rejoining the Ichi-gun roster in Sapporo and will start Wednesday's game against the Chiba Lotte Marines (Sapporo Dome).

Kensuke Tanaka had surgery on his left foot (for a talus fracture) yesterday.  He'll be discharged from the hospital sometime this week and will begin his rehab.  Tanaka is expected to miss 4-6 months.

The Fighters set a new franchise high by striking out 17 times SundayMicah Hoffpauir led the pack with 4 strikeouts, followed by four players with 2 strikeouts and five players with 1 strikeout.

Said Masataka Nashida, "It's good to set new records.  That's why they're there.  And there's no difference between easy outs and strikeouts."
