Softbank Hawks

Hiroki Kokubo has now hit a homer off 204 different pitchers.  That's 6th most in the NPB.  Kokubo also had one of his best games of the season last night: 4-for-5 with 2 homers, a double, and 4 RBI.

Seibu Lions

Yusei Kikuchi will get tomorrow's start against the Orix Buffaloes.

Nippon Ham Fighters

Masataka Nashida told reporters that he was planning on taking Yuki Saito off the active roster so that he can get in a little more work at Ni-gun.  Saito started tonight's game and gave up 4 earned runs on 7 hits over 7 innings of work.

Sho Nakata batted fourth yesterday for the first time in 6 games.  He went 0-for-4 with 2 strikeouts.  He batted fourth again today and went 1-for-4.

Orix Buffaloes

Chan Ho Park rejoined the Ichi-gun roster on the 27th and injured his left leg while running on the 28th.  He had the leg checked out today and was diagnosed with a hamstring strain.  Park was supposed to return to the active roster tomorrow (when he turns 38) and make a start against the Seibu Lions.

Hiroshi Kisanuki will be called up in place of Park and start tomorrow's game.
