Softbank Hawks

Starters Tsuyoshi Wada, DJ Houlton, Tadashi Settsu, Kenji Otonari, and Sho Iwasaki worked out at Seibu 2 Stadium todayShota Oba also worked out with the group.

Chiba Lotte Marines

Shingo Ono worked out with the other pitchers today at QVC Marine Field.  He'll probably gets Wednesday's start against the Nippon Ham Fighters (at QVC Marine).

Nippon Ham Fighters

Sho Nakata has 5 RBI in his last 4 games and currently leads both leagues with 46 RBI.  He also leads both leagues with 20 doubles.


Yu Darvish worked out at Kamagaya today (running, playing catch) in preparation for his start on 7/7 vs Lotte (QVC Marine).


Yuki Saito threw 43 pitches in the bullpen yesterday (about 20 from the set position) in preparation for a Ni-gun outing on the 5th.

Orix Buffaloes

Hirotoshi Kitagawa told reporters that he went to the hospital today and had his stitches checked and was told that he'd have to wait a bit longer before they could come out (ruptured left Achilles tendon).  He also added that he started wearing a harness today and that it allowed him to do a lot of walking.  Kitagawa has been told to get as much rest as possible this month.

Rakuten Eagles

Satoshi Nagai was taken off the active roster today with inflammation in his right shoulder area.


According to the Eagles official site, Hisashi Iwakuma is scheduled to pitch in a Ni-gun game on 7/5 (Yokohama) and Darrell Rasner on 7/6 (Yokohama).


Nikkan Sports reports that the Eagles are looking for some fans to help the grounds' crew during a 3-game series against the Softbank Hawks later this month (7/12-7/14).  Requirements: must be 20 or older and must have tickets to the game.
