Chunichi Dragons

Doala failed to turn a back-flip during after the 7th inning of tonight's game against the Hanshin Tigers.

Hanshin Tigers

The Tigers' offense has been shut down over 24 straight innings at Nagoya Dome.

Craig Brazell was removed before the bottom of the 7th of last night's game after he started feeling discomfort in his left hamstring after running out a grounder in the top of the 7th.  The team was concerned about a potential injury and played it safe by taking him out of the game -- he had knee problems in 2008 and 2009, and has also injured his left hamstring in the past; he also hurt both knees back when he played football in high school.  It also didn't help that they were playing on artificial turf.

Tomoaki Kanemoto played in his 2,379 game last night, putting him in an 11th place tie with Tsutomu Ito on the All-time list.

Injury updates: Yasutomo Kubo is expected to pitch 3 innings in a rehab outing during a Ni-gun game against Softbank on 7/8. ... Kenji Jojima spent about 4 hours working out at Naruohama yesterday.

Yomiuri Giants

The Giants are 0-6-1 when playing in secondary stadiums: 0-3-0 in Shizuoka; 0-1-0 in Maebashi; 0-1-1 in Koriyama; and 0-1-0 in Shizuoka.

Josh Fields worked out at Giants Stadium today -- he played some catch, took some fielding practice in the infield, and swung the bat 44 times during BP and hit 7 over the fence.

Yokohama Bay Stars

The Bay Stars have lost 5 in a row in Okinawa.
