Josh Fields joined up with the Ichi-gun roster yesterday and took grounders at third during pre-game practice. He was also activated and got into yesterday's game against the Hiroshima Carp as a pinch-hitter in the bottom of the 8th and worked out a walk. Fields was replaced by a pinch-runner immediately after that.
The Soichiro Amaya lost another ball in the lights at Tokyo Dome yesterday: in the 2nd inning with 2 out and no one on, Kentaro Nishimura hit a pop fly toward left that Amaya lost track of. The ball ended up dunking in for single.

Daisuke Miura started yesterday's game against the Chunichi Dragons and gave up 1 run on 5 hits over 6 innings of work. He also struck out 9 and recorded his first victory of the year. He told reporters that he focused on two things during his stint at Ni-gun: short sprints (instead of long-distance running) for his lower body; and throwing the fastball as much as possible.
