Softbank Hawks

The Hawks executed a double steal in the 4th inning of yesterday's game that involved Akira Nakamura stealing second as Shuhei Fukuda stole home.  As a team, the Hawks currently have 76 stolen bases (tops in either league), which puts them on pace for 165.

Seibu Lions

The benches cleared after Kazuya Takamiya plunked Hiroyuki Nakajima in the 6th inning.  The ump issued a warning to both sides.  What may perhaps be interesting is that the Buffaloes got together for a meeting just before Takamiya hit Nakajima.  It may have been the reason why Nakajima slowly approached the mound after getting hit in the back.

The Lions announced today that they'll be hosting Crayon Shin-chan Day at Seibu Dome on 7/30 (vs Orix).  Shin-chan will be on hand for the game and will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Nippon Ham Fighters

Yu Darvish worked out with the Ni-gun players at Kamagaya yesterday (running, playing catch).  Darvish was also slated to toss a bullpen session, but didn't since he cut his workouts short due to the heat.
