Team chairman Tsuneo Watanabe told reporters today that he's hopeful Tatsunori Hara will be able to turn things around in the second-half by learning from his first-half mistakes.
"We've been kicked around. We've lost a lot, but it's still the first half. Even then, best case scenario would be a third place finish. And then it's Climax Series," said Watanabe.
He then added, "Well, there is learning from your mistakes. If Hara losing so much, I'm sure there's something he can learn from that. If he can do that, then maybe he can become the next great manager. And people can't improve if they don't mistakes. When you fail, you can also end up taking a great leap forward."
Alex Ramirez started taking BP practice again today. He also jokingly told reporters that his best position during the All-Stars series would be as third base coach.
