There are slightly conflicting reports on Matt Murton.
Daily Sports reports that the Tigers are worried about Murton because they aren't sure if his current condition was brought on from the stresses of playing in a foreign country or not being able to properly adjust. And since they'd like Murton to return next season, they plan on sitting down with him, their international director, and the team interpreter to see if there's anything they can do to help (like mental / emotional support, if it's needed). At worst, Daily Sports mentions that Murton could be taken off the active roster.
A Sanspo report chalks up Murton's current condition to hypertension due to some dental work he's been getting. Sanspo also seems to think that there's a chance Murton could return to the starting line-up today.
In either case, Murton apparently dropped by the stadium yesterday and requested to take some BP during the team's pre-game meeting. Chief trainer Tatsuzo Tsunekawa also told reporters that Murton was feeling better than the day before and that the team was playing it safe by giving him another day off.
