The NPB will be meeting with the MLB today in order to talk about the breakdown of WBC revenue.
MLB's Paul Archey (Senior Vice President, International Business Operations) and members from the MLBPA are expected to meet with the NPB's international committee, headed by Toshimasa Shimada (Nippon Ham Fighters' rep).
The MLB is also scheduled to meet with the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association.
UPDATE 8/10 @ 5:00am - The NPB and reps from 9 NPB teams attended Tuesday's WBC meeting. While it isn't exactly certain what was mentioned during the meetings, it seems the NPB was told that the current revenue sharing formula was appropriate. NPB international committee chairman Shimada didn't get into any details with the media, but did say that both sides were able to get everything out onto the table.
UPDATE 8/10 @ 9:42am - Paul Archey (MLB) and Tim Slavin (MLBPA) attended the meeting as reps from the WBC steering committee. The meeting last about 3.5 hours. Archey refused to provide any comments to the media. Meetings are expected to continue today.
