Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 1-for-5: double (16) to right (run scored), pop out to second, line out to short, ground out to first, ground out to second.

Texas Rangers 9 - Oakland Athletics 1
Hideki Matsui started in left and batted third.  He went 0-for-2: walk, fly out to left, strikeout swinging.  Matsui was replaced in the top of the 8th on defense.

Yoshinori Tateyama entered the game in the bottom of the 7th, with the Rangers up 9-1, and retired the side in order.  Final line: 1 IP, 3 BF, 19-13 NP-S, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 SO, 0 HR.

Cleveland Indians 3 - Minnesota Twins 2
Kosuke Fukudome started in center and batted sixth.  He went 1-for-4: fly out to right, ground out to third, single to right, ground out to second.

Tsuyoshi Nishioka started at short and batted ninth.  He went 2-for-3: RBI single to left (caught stealing second), ground out to the pitcher, RBI single to right.  Nishioka also committed a fielding error in the bottom of the 6th that allowed a run to score.

Arizona Diamondback 4 - New York Mets 3
Ryota Igarashi entered the game in the bottom of the 6th, with the Mets down 4-1, and tossed 2 shutout inning. Final line: 2 IP, 7 BF, 28-19 NP-S, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 SO, 0 HR.
