It appears there's a chance fans might have a chance to see a Yuki Saito (HAM) vs Masahiro Tanaka (RAK) match-up on 9/10 at Kleenex Stadium. Both pitchers started games last Saturday and assuming they continue to start games on 6 days of rest, they'll end up having starts when the two teams meet for a three game series that begins on 9/9.
Tanaka's current status: there was a chance he was going to start tomorrow's game against the Softbank Hawks (on 5 days of rest). But during pre-game practice yesterday, he went through a workout routine he usually goes through 3 days before a start. He also threw 126 pitches during his last start and it's more likely the Eagles will want him to pitch against Toshiya Sugiuchi on Saturday.
Saito's current status: he tossed a bullpen session yesterday, as he usually does 3 days before a start. And based on the current way the Fighters have the rotation set right now, Saito will most likely pitch on 6-days of rest.
It should also be noted that Masataka Nashida told reporters earlier this year that he didn't want Saito's first start against Tanaka to take place in any other stadium other than Sapporo Dome (he felt Kleenex Stadium was too small), so it'll be interesting to see if anything happens to the Fighters' rotation before 9/10.
