Seibu Lions

Hideaki Wakui and reporter Mika Sugisaki have apparently broken up.  According to someone close to situation, the two broke up some time last month, likely due to the fact that they're both busy and have had little time to spend with each other.

The two were first reported as a dating back in July.

Nippon Ham Fighters

As of now, Yuki Saito is still on track to make his next start on 9/10 against Mashiro Tanaka and the Rakuten Eagles (at Kleenex Stadium).

Incidentally, Fuji TV is working on purchasing the broadcasting rights to the game.

Rakuten Eagles

Takeshi Yamasaki recorded 4 hits last night for the first time since 9/18/2009.

But when he blinks it looks as though he’s forcing his eyes shut. I guess it’s just me that thinks it looks weird.

Just because it looks like he’s forcing it, doesn’t mean that he is. And according to things I’ve read, he isn’t doing it intentionally.

Yes, I don’t think any batter would do it on purpose. It absolutely distracts them from seeing pitches. It’s impressive to watch his eyes blink and then a homer comes, though.
