The media learned today that Hieizan High School (Shiga) withdrew from the Fall Kinki Regional High School Baseball Shiga Tournament due to violence within the club.
According to the high school, a second year student (17) threw a baseball at a first year student (15) before practice in mid-June because he wasn't good at cleaning up and caused injuries to his left elbow. The first year student approached the director of the baseball team, but the school didn't received a full report of the incident until 2 months later on 8/24. Investigations by the high school later revealed a second case of violence in which a student hit another student in the face (cheek).
Both the director and manager of the team have since been dismissed, dated 9/1.
