Games from the 12th:

New York Yankees 9 - Seattle Mariners 3
Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 1-for-5: fly out to left, RBI single to right, fly out to center, strikeout swinging, ground out to third.  He now needs 31 hits in 15 games for 200.

Oakland A's 6 - LA Angels 3
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted third.  He went 0-for-3: walk (run scored), fly out to left, pop out to short, ground out to second.

Via Nikkan Sports: The Elias Sports Bureau reported that Yoshinori Tateyama became the first pitcher to give up back-to-back grand slams since Seattle Mariner Greg McCarthy in 1988 (8/12 and 8/18).

Tateyama gave up a grand slam to the last batter he faced (Carl Crawford) during a relief outing against the Boston Red Sox on 9/3.  He then surrendered another grand slam to the first batter he faced (Scott Sizemore) in his next relief stint on 9/10 (vs the Oakland A's).
