PL News and Notes: Mitsutaka Goto’s (ORI) hitting streak ends at 26 games

Softbank Hawks

Hiroki Kokubo was removed from Friday's night game before the top of the 6th inning because of neck pains. The Hawks will wait to see how Kokubo is doing tomorrow before making any decisions on his status.

Nippon Ham Fighters

Atsunori Inaba tweaked his right knee while on defense in the 2nd inning was was lifted from the game on defense in the 3rd.  Inaba had the knee iced and the team will wait to see how he's feeling tomorrow before deciding on what to do next.

Yoshio Itoi was held out of the starting line-up Friday night.  Nikkan Sports mentions knee pains but Sanspo says it might be because of a fractured right pinky toe.

Orix Buffaloes

Mitsutaka Goto's hitting streak came to an end at 26 games Friday night.

Shunta Goto joined the Ichi-gun team for practice Friday.

Akinori Iwamura barreled into home plate in the top of the 9th inning on Friday night and was removed from the game and taken to the hospital due to an undisclosed injury.
