The NPB held executive committee meeting today and decided that hearings on the sale of the Yokohama Bay Stars to DeNA will begin on Thursday (11/10). They also decided to extend the deadline for the approval of the sale from 11/30 to 12/31 and to hold two extra executive committee meetings before the 12/1 owner meetings.
NPB commissioner Ryozo Kato and reps from all 12 NPB teams will likely take part in the hearing. Seven people from DeNA, including chairman Makoto Haruta and president Moriyasu Isao, are expected to attend and present their case for the purchase of the Yokohama Bay Stars.
The executive committee has also hired a third party to evaluate DeNA's current financial affairs.
