Boston Red Sox reach agreement with Bobby Valentine

The Boston Red Sox have apparently reached an agreement with Bobby Valentine. A snip from an MLB.com report:
Multiple news outlets reported Tuesday that the Red Sox have reached a verbal agreement with Bobby Valentine to be their next manager. Valentine, currently working as a broadcaster for ESPN, has not managed in the Major Leagues since the 2002 season.
The Red Sox have not confirmed the reports.
