Sponichi is reporting that at least five teams may have submitted bids on Hiroyuki Nakajima. Nakajima's agent, Greg Genske, told Sponichi, "I was contacted by 5-6 teams that are seriously interested. We are guessing that there will be an intense competition. ... We felt this was the best time to post [Nakajima]."
The San Francisco Giants (as a shortstop), Baltimore Orioles (as someone that can play second and short), and the Chicago Cubs (could give team option to Starlin Castro to second) have been mentioned a teams that could be interested.
Seibu teammate Kazuhisa Ishii has also offered to help Nakajima out if he needs it.
