Via Nikkan Sports: WEEI's Rob Bradford mentions that the Red Sox are interested in Hiroki Kuroda (36). A snip from his article:
The acceptance by Kuroda to play with the Red Sox is a change of course from his stance during the non-waiver trade deadline, when the right-hander told the Dodgers he would block any deal by Los Angeles.
The Yankees, Angels, Marlins, Rockies and Rangers are also potential suitors for Kuroda, who went 13-16 with a 3.07 ERA in 32 starts for the Dodgers in '11.
Hideki Matsui is currently in New York. Matsui's knees are apparently in good shape. He recently said to reporters, "Unlike the last two years, there is no need for me to check on how my knees are doing. That is why I am going back to my old way of training."
Matsui also said he was not in a rush to sign a contract before the end of the year.
