Seibu Lions

Yasuyuki Kataoka played catch and took soft-toss BP at Seibu 2 Stadium on Monday for the first time since left shoulder surgery in October.


When Kazuhisa Makita was asked if he had an interest in playing in the Majors, during a talk session on Monday, he replied, "If given the opportunity, I would like to give it a shot."


Takayuki Kishi saw his salary drop for the first time in his career on Tuesday (down 10M yen to 110M yen).

Nippon Ham Fighters

Sho Nakata told reporters on Monday that he wanted to work on hitting the ball to the opposite direction -- he hit 13 homers out to left, 3 to center, and 2 to right this past season.

Orix Buffaloes

Dae-Ho Lee is scheduled to arrive in Japan on Wednesday for another press conference.  He will also have a chance to check out some of the team facilities.


Mitsutaka Goto agreed to a salary of 100M yen plus incentives on Tuesday.  Goto will be in the second year of a three-year deal next season.
