Softbank Hawks

Masahiko Morifuku, Yuya Hasegawa, and Yuichi Honda visited a beauty salon near the team hotel for relaxation massages on Wednesday (Thursday in Japan).  They also visited a power spot located near the coast.  A TV station from Fukuoka recorded the events.


Hiroki Yamada has plans to work out with Yoshihisa Naruse (LOT) while Sho Iwasaki has plans to work out with Yu Darvish (HAM).

Nippon Ham Fighters

Sho Nakata worked out at Athlete (gym in Hiroshima) with Hanshin Tiger players Tomoaki Kanemoto and Takahiro Arai on Wednesday.

Orix Buffaloes

During his salary negotiations on Tuesday, Mitsutaka Goto questioned, from a health and nutritional standpoint, whether it was ok for the team to scrimp on meals for players that lived in the player dorms by turning to pre-made commercial lunch boxes.

Rakuten Eagles

Yosuke Takasu met with the Eagles on Thursday and placed a 75M yen (up 7M yen) offer on hold.


Senichi Hoshino apparently told Masahiro Tanaka to go easy on the fan events in January because the team wants him to focus on baseball.  Tanaka told reporters on Wednesday that he did not plan to schedule any events in January and would try to squeeze in as much practice as possible until then.


Yoshiaki Fujioka (SOF), Shinya Tsuruoka (HAM), Takanori Hoshi (SEI),  Mamoru Kishida (ORI), Satoshi Nagai (RAK), and Shoitsu Omatsu (LOT) participated in a Pacific League joint event (Power of Baseball) on Wednesday and visited two elementary schools in Ishinomaki, Miyagi.
