Sponichi is reporting that the Softbank Hawks plan on revising their salary assessment system and could implement something where players would have an option between incentive and non-incentive based deals.
The team will also ramp up efforts to find a suitable foreign pitcher that can help fill the opening left by the departures of Tsuyoshi Wada, Toshiya Sugiuchi, and D.J. Houlton.
UPDATE @ 2:44pm - The Hawks do not appear to be in a huge rush to find their foreign replacement, so long as they can find him by opening day (ideally some time during spring camp).
Chairman Sadaharu Oh also told reporters that they will probably have to figure out a way to replace about 50 victories.
