Softbank Hawks interested in Kei Igawa

Sports Hochi is reporting that the Softbank Hawks are interested in Kei Igawa. Igawa is still hoping to continue his playing career in the US and is also being monitored by the Rakuten Eagles and Orix Buffaloes.

Igawa is fooling himself if he thinks he’s going anywhere in the MLB. A return to Japan as soon as possible would seem smart. And, Softbank really needs arms, as much as I’d like to see the Eagles give him a shot.

He could pitch in a bad team like the Pirates or the Astros, he had decent results in the minors, somewhere else he would have been called up.
