12/25/2011: Hiroki Kuroda, Hideki Matsui, Norichika Aoki

Fox Sports' Jon Morosi tweets that Hiroki Kuroda is wiling to leave the Los Angeles Dodgers:

Hiroki Kuroda is indeed willing to leave California (and the NL). #RedSox and #Yankees among clubs pursuing him, sources say.


Hideki Matsui told Sponichi he has not received any official offers yet and that everything would be fine so long as he had a contract in place by the start of Spring training (around late-February).


Norichika Aoki told reporters on Saturday that he plans to fly out to the US around the 4th or 5th of January next year.  He also said he was going to pick up an international driver's license because he wants to drive himself around Milwaukee.


Hisashi Iwakuma worked out for about five hours on Saturday and told reporters he had not received any updates from his agent in the US.


NIkkan Sports mentions the incident with Tom Signore, Kevin Gray, and the fake announcement that the Toronto Blue Jays winning the bid for Yu DarvishVia the National Post:

Someone created a fake Twitter account for minor-league coach Tom Signore, making him an unwitting accomplice to a reporter's claim Monday that the Toronto Blue Jays had won the bidding for Japanese pitcher Yu Darvish.

Darvish also updated his blog on Saturday and mentioned nothing about the Texas Rangers and spoke primarily about his day (did some running ad played some catch in the morning and did some weight training in the afternoon), about how he was mapping out his diet/supplements, and how he wished there was more time during the off-season.
