Seibu Lions

Chiba Lotte Marines

The Marines may be thinking about putting together an entertainment group called CLM 26 (Chiba Lotte Marines 26).  They would be similar to other groups like AKB48.

Nippon Ham Fighters

According to Daily Sports, the Fighters are thinking about giving 1st round draft pick Tomoyuki Sugano the number 11 (Yu Darvish's number).  Of course, that is only if Darvish signs with the Texas Rangers.

Sports Hochi mentions that they are also thinking about retiring it, at least until someone as good as Darvish comes around.

Hideki Kuriyama plans to spend his New Years in Kuriyama, Hokkaido.

Kuriayama is also thinking about setting up meet-and-greets with fans during spring camp next year: he will set a time and place and wait for fans to show up.

Said Kuriyama, "My job is to make sure the players practice and show up for games in their best conditions.  That means they also need room to focus, which means I need to think about the fans in their place."

Sho Nakata is looking for a good hill he can use during his off-season runs.

Orix Buffaloes

If the Buffaloes get to go on a championship vacation next year, Akinobu Okada would like to go to Dubai.

The media learned on Thursday that 25-year-old Yuji Maeda filed marriage papers with a 23-year-old woman named Nanako on 12/7.

Rakuten Eagles

In an effort to boost their international scouting department, the Eagles are planning to offer Takao Ebino (formerly an assistant training coach with the Hanshin Tigers) a job as an international scout.  That would give the Eagles a total three international scouts.

The Eagles are still in the market for a couple of foreign players: a left-handed bat with pop and a starter.
