Chiba Lotte Marines

The Chiba Lotte Marines opened for business on Thursday.

Yuki Karakawa is aiming to become the quickest Lotte pitcher out of high school to lead the league in victories.  Fumio Narita (25 victories in 1970) and Masaaki Kitaru (24 victories in 1971) both accomplished the feat in their sixth years.

He also told reporters that he is still not yet ready to get married.
