All six members of the 2011 draft class moved into the player dorm on Monday (actually five since 6th round pick Sang-Hoon Son moved in on Sunday).
1st round pick Shuhei Takahashi made the four hour trip by car from Kanagawa with his family and was the last to move in. Of the things he moved in with was a console system and the soccer game Winning Eleven (no baseball games).
Takashi Toritani started working out in Nago, Okinawa on Monday. Workouts included running, fielding practice, and BP.
Toritani joined other Lotte players like Tadahito Iguchi, Ikuhiro Kiyota, Naoki Matoba, and Akichika Yamada.
Tomoaki Kanemoto participated in a talk session at Hanshin Department store in Osaka on Monday and told audience members that if 100% was when his right shoulder was in peak physical shape, then he was currently at around 70-80% and slowly closing in on 100%. He also said he has been surprised at how well he has been able to throw the ball over short distances.
About 160 people attended the hour-long event.
1st round draft pick Hayata Ito had a chance to meet Kyuji Fujikawa during practices at Naruohama on Monday.
