The Bay Stars announced today that Yuki Takamori was changing his registered kanji name from 高森勇気 to 高森勇旗.

The Bay Stars held a staff meeting in Yokohama today in order to discuss spring camp schedules, like playing five practice games, beginning with the Nippon Ham Fighters on 2/16.

"We will work on plays that require signs early on.  Players that fall behind will quickly be shuttled between Ichi-gun and Ni-gun," said Kiyoshi Nakahata.

They also decided entire 2011 draft class will begin the year at Ni-gun spring camp.

Nakahata attended a mealtime meeting with the coaching staff on Tuesday and told reporters that he was counting on Shun Yamaguchi to have another solid year.  He also said that he will make sure everyone on the team (players, staff) knew how important it was to keep the lines of communication open with the media even during losing streaks.

The media learned on Tuesday that Toshiki Kurobane (24) will be filing marriage papers with a 26-year-old woman named Mie Tanabe (? 田辺美恵) some time this month.  The two started seeing each other in September 2010 and Kurobane proposed one year later in September 2011.
