Nippon Ham Fighters

The Fighters held a welcoming event for the 2011 draft class at Kamagaya on Saturday.  About 1,200 fans showed up.

7th round draft pick Takumi Oshima's bat went flying during soft-toss BP on Friday and almost hit Ni-gun manager Shinichi Igarashi.  He also told reporters he never wore a cup while playing softball and ordered two of them after he was told they were necessary.

Seibu Lions

Kazuyuki Hoashi worked out in Yamaga, Kumamoto on Saturday.  His workouts included running and playing catch.

1st round draft pick Ken Togame is ok with becoming a swing man (although he does aspire to be a starter), similar to the way Kazuhisa Makita was used in 2011.

2nd round draft pick Hirotaka Koishi's goal for 2012 is to improve his control.

Chiba Lotte Marines

The second block of training camp for the 2011 draft class began on Saturday.  Workouts lasted about five to six hours and included fielding practice, running, and weight training.

The Marines announced on Friday that Seth Greisinger will wear the number 46 and Josh Whitesell the number 64.

Thank you for the updates on Graman and Lerew. I was actually wondering where they were going to play in 2012.
