Joint training sessions at the Ono training facilities began on Monday.  The 2011 draft class members also introduced themselves to the other members of the team.

Tomonori Maeda worked with Yoshihiro Maru on Sunday at the Ono training facilities -- he had Maru hit him grounders during fielding practice and toss baseballs during soft-toss BP, all the while offering him tips/advice in return.

Shintaro Ejiri visited Motomiya Mayumi Elementary School in Fukushima on Sunday and personally donated three AEDs to local youth sports organizations.  After the units were donated, Ejiri, in addition to Shigeru Kaga and Hitoshi Fujie, held a baseball clinic for kids at the school.

Two units were also donated to Ishinomaki, Miyagi and one to Onagawa, Miyagi.

Kiyoshi Nakahata is thinking about giving "special fielding practice" sessions in the foul area on the third base side at Ginowan Stadium during spring camp -- he already got Ginowan Stadium officials to agree to remove/cut the grass.  Nakahata also recalled how Shigeo Nagashima's special fielding practice sessions lasted a full hour.

Nakahata, head coach Yutaka Takagi, owner Makoto Haruta, and team president Jun Ikeda visited the Ginowan City offices today and met with Deputy Mayor Seiei Komesu.  They also visited the Kadena offices as well.
