Nippon Ham Fighters

7th round draft pick Takumi Oshima took 21 swings against a BP pitcher on Friday and collected three could-be hits.


Hideki Kuriyama made an appearance at PR event for the upcoming Sapporo Snow Festival (2/6-2/12) on Friday.


Yuki Saito returned from Tottori on Wednesday and continued his workouts at the Waseda University training facilities on Thursday.

Seibu Lions

Takumi Kuriyama worked out at Seibu 2 Stadium on Friday.  His workouts began at 8:30am and included running, playing catch, and BP.


The 2011 draft class a number of other players took part in firefighting training exercises on Friday.


2nd round draft pick Hirotaka Koishi told reporters on Thursday that there might be days he throws around 200 pitches during spring camp.


The Lions announced on Friday that they will begin selling spring camp merchandise on January 27.

Orix Buffaloes

Mitsutaka Goto started taking soft toss BP on Friday (about five minutes).


Chihiro Kaneko has asked that the team continue using 金子千尋 as his registered kanji -- he can go back to 金子 now that Keisuke Kaneko is no longer with the team (traded to Softbank).


The media learned on Thursday that Miyakojima Municipal Baseball Stadium (Buffaloes Ichi-fun spring camp facility)  is undergoing about 30M yen in renovations.  Amongst things being improved/fixed: adding a net in front of the seats on the third base side to protect them from foul balls, waterproofing facilities that had problems with leaks during downpours, and expanding the cafeteria to allow more players to eat at once.

Chiba Lotte Marines

1st round draft pick Takahiro Fujioka threw at about 60-70% during his bullpen session on Thursday.
