Nippon Ham Fighters

Nippon Ham Group held their product exhibit at Kyocera Dome on Saturday.

Seibu Lions

Yusei Kikuchi worked out at Seibu 2 Stadium on Saturday.  After playing some catch, Kikuchi tossed a bullpen session -- squatting catcher while mixing in off-speed pitches.

The Lions announced on Saturday that they will be opening team stores in Lions Store @ Tokorozawa Station (January 27) and Lions Store @ Seibu Ikebukuro (February 4).  Limited edition merchandise commemorating the grand openings will also be sold.

The team open two stores last year: Lions Store Flags (April 9) and Lions Store @ Omiya Arche (March 5).

Takumi Kuriyama wants to eat with a mix of position players and pitchers during spring camp to help improve communication between the two groups.  He is also thinking about reading up on what it means/takes to be a leader.

Chiba Lotte Marines

Takashi Ogino was coming back from knee surgery last year (May 26, 2010), pushed himself too hard, re-injured it in May, and ended up needing two knee surgeries (May 25, 2011 and August 25, 2011).  Ogino told reporters on Friday he plans to take things slow this year -- focus on strengthening this month and then slowly ramp things up in February.

1st round draft pick Takahiro Fujioka is planning to toss another bullpen session during the third block of training camp (January 22 - January 24).
