Batting Practice

  • Dae-Ho Lee took fifty-seven swings and hit seven over the fence.  He also used his game-day bat for the last seven swings. (Sports Hochi Osaka)

The Buffaloes have the day off today.

Mitsutaka Goto is hoping to get at least forty or so exhibition game trips to the plate.  Goto may also be allowed to stay in Okinawa (with the Ni-gun team) even after the team moves to Kochi on February 22 so that he continue his workouts in the warmer weather.

Takahiro Okada celebrated his 24th birthday today.  So far it seems Okada will end up batting fifth, behind Dae-Ho Lee.

Lee plans to switch gears and take things more seriously, beginning with the third block of spring camp (starts tomorrow).

"No more joking around or trying to get along with teammates from here on.  I think opening day is a battle, a war."
