• Keiji Uezono faced Naoto Inada and Toshihito Abe situational during batting practice and allowed eleven hits on sixty-three pitches.  Daisuke Kato faced Fuminori Yokogawa, Toshiya Nakashima, and Ginji Akaminai and threw seventy pitches.  Kato also hit Nakashima in the left elbow. (Sponichi)
