Batting Practice Bullpen Sessions / Batting Practice


  • Kenta Kurihara took fourteen swings against Takeru Imamura during batting practice and collected two could-be hits. (Sponichi)


  • Kenta Maeda threw 101 pitches in the bullpen.  This was his fourth session since the start of spring camp.  Maeda also threw thirty pitches on Saturday. (Daily Sports)


Yoshihiro Maru left practices early because he was not feeling well and was examined at a hospital where he was diagnosed with pharyngitis (soar throat).  He is considered day-to-day.


The Carp held base-stealing practices today for runners today.  Kenjiro Nomura and chief pitching coach Yutaka Ono also checked on the pitchers and catchers after they allowed three stolen bases in yesterday's practice game against the Nippon Ham Fighters.

1st round draft pick Yusuke Nomura's parents and Meiji University baseball team manager Tatsuya Yoshinami visited spring camp today.
