The Ichi-gun Bay Stars had the day off today.

It was the end of the second block of camp for the Ni-gun Bay Stars today.  They have the day off tomorrow.

Kiyoshi Nakahata wants Yoshitomo Tsutsugo to be more vocal and assertive on defense.

"[Tsutsugo] is not vocal because he is thinking about how he can not hit.  And if he is not vocal, then he is not playing my kind of baseball," said Nakahata.  "As long as he proactive, the mistakes [do not worry me as much].  I want him to strive that kind of baseball."

Nakahata also had Tsutsugo take extra fielding practice after Sunday's intra-squad game because of his sloppy defense.

Oscar Salazar will sign a contract with the team as soon as he undergoes a medical exam in Yokohama.

Nakahata left the player hotel at around 7am for a forty-minute morning walk on Sunday.  During his walk, he spent some time talking to junior reporters from Sponichi Junior, a newspaper geared toward elementary school kids.
