  • Naoto Tsuru started the game for Hanshin and allowed one run on four hits over three innings of work.  He also topped out at 143km/h and later told reporters he was throwing at about 40-50%. [Daily Sports, Sanspo]
  • Kazuya Tsutsui entered the game in the 4th inning and tossed two shutout innings in relief.  He faced a total seven batters and did not allow a hit but did walk one.  Tsutsui topped out at 145km/h. [Daily Sports, Sanspo]
  • Tomoyuki Kubota entered the game in the 6th and allowed one run on four hits over two innings of work.  He also struck out three. [Daily Sports]
  • Masanori Fujihara surrendered three hits over two innings of work for the Tigers. [Sanspo]

  • Hiroki Uemoto (HAN) went 1-for-5 with four strikeouts. [Sanspo]
  • Shota Dobayashi (HIR) started at third and batted seventh.  He took a ball off his face (near his left eyebrow) while playing third in the 4th inning.  Dobayashi also hit a single to left off Tomoyuki Kubota in the 6th inning with runners on second and third and one out.   • Three of the six runs the Tigers scored came on misplays by Hiroshima: with runners on first and second and no out in the 5th inning, Ryuhei Matsuyama made a bad throw to third from first; with runners on first and third and two out in the 5th inning, Kyohei Nakamura threw a wild pitch; and with a runner on third and one out in the 9th, Yuta Shirahama misplayed a ball.   • Tetsuya Utsumi started for the Whites, Hirokazu Sawamura for the Reds.  Both tossed two shutout innings and allowed two hits. [Daily Sports]
  • Ryosuke Miyaguni entered the game in the 3rd inning for the Reds and tossed two shutout innings in relief.  He also allowed one hit, walked one, and struck out one.  Miyaguni topped out around the 130km/h range and also threw a 98km/h slow curve. [Nikkan Sports, Sponichi]
