2nd round draft pick Yuhei Nakaushiro originally planned to throw eighty pitches in the bullpen today, but kept going because he was not satisfied with his inside pitches to left-handed batters.
===
1st round draft pick Takahiro Fujioka canceled his bullpen session today because of tightness in his lower back. He instead kept his workouts light with some running and weight training. This was the first time during spring camp Fujioka did not do any throwing two days in a row.
Fujioka told reporters he was fine and that he should be able to toss a session on Friday. He is still expected to pitch in an upcoming intra-squad game on February 19.
===
Norifumi Nishimura hit baseballs to Shunichi Nemoto, Ikuhiro Kiyota, and 3rd round draft pick Daichi Suzuki today.
===
Pitching coach Takashi Nishimoto gave 4th round draft pick Naoya Masuda tips on how to throw a shuto today.

With the updates made to Ishigaki Baseball Stadium last year, the Marines are now thinking about playing exhibition games at the stadium, beginning next year.

They should play some games in Ishigaki. It’s a nice little stadium, much nicer than the old field.

Did you take any pictures of the facilities on your trip out there?

I took a bunch, but mostly of players and such. I took pictures of the training at pretty much all of the facilities, though. I’m still working on posting them now.
I’ll send you a mail when I have them up – hopefully this weekend.

Cool, looking forward to seeing them.
