Hiroki Kuroda introduced himself to Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez on Friday. He did not pitch during practices and did long distance runs. After workouts, he met former Hiroshima coach Jeff Livesey and his son.
Ryota Igarashi faced three batters during live batting practice on Friday and threw sixteen pitches to each batter. He is scheduled to toss batting practice against on Monday.

Yu Darvish signed some autographs after practices on Friday. Nikkan Sports notes that the fans got a little pushy/shovy at one point and almost knocked over the fence separating the fans and the players.
Nikkan Sports also mentions that Darvish pitched out of the wind during his bullpen session and batting practice outing on Thursday (thirty-two pitches in all). While in Japan, he usually pitched out of the stretch. Sponichi provides a bit of a breakdown on the batting practice outing: ten pitches to Ryan Strausborger, four swings; five pitches to Jurickson Profar, no swings.
Darvish's workouts on Friday included bunt and fielding practices. His first exhibition game outing will likely come against the Arizona Diamondbacks on March 6.
