The Fighters held practices at Sapporo Dome today.
7th round draft pick Takumi Oshima will likely be used as a pinch-hitter during an exhibition game against the Yakult Swallows on March 3. His performance during the game will determine whether or not he gets sent down to Ni-gun. Oshima told reporters that while he wanted to stay at Ichi-gun, he was ok with spending time at Ni-gun because there was plenty to learn at either locations.
4th round draft pick Kensuke Kondo is also scheduled to play on March 3.
The Fighters showed off some of the new updates they made to the facilities at Sapporo Dome today, including the three new conference rooms named after Yu Darvish, Trey Hillman, and Tsuyoshi Shinjo. According to Sponichi, the biggest change was made to the players reference room: twice are large as before (enough space to hold a meeting), a 60-inch screen, three new computers with three new screens for a total eleven computers.
