  • Hiroshi Kisanuki started the game for Orix and tossed four shutout innings while allowing two hits. [Daily Sports, Nikkan Sports]
  • Hiroki Ueno started the game for Lotte and allowed a run on two hits over four innings of work. [Daily Sports, Nikkan Sports]
  • 2nd round draft pick Yuhei Nakaushiro relieved Hiroki Ueno and tossed two shutout innings while allowing one hit and one walk.  He also struck out two and topped out at 146km/h. [Nikkan Sports
