An Orix pep rally was held at a hotel in Osaka today. The coaches and the players attended.
Akinobu Okada figures Chihiro Kaneko will have two more starts before the regular season. In at least one of those starts, he plans to stretch Kaneko out to around seven innings.
Okada on the new wall color at Kyocera Dome (via Daily Sports): "It is a lot easier to see the ball. The fences got softer so the ball does not bounce off them that much. The ball can get stuck in the gaps [near the doors]. I have asked them to fixed that."
There are apparently eight starting candidates for the six spots in the rotation.
