NPB: Teams announce plans to collect donations on one-year anniversary on Tohoku Earthquake

The Hanshin Tigers and Yomiuri Giants are planning to have six players, three from each team, collect donations for Northern Japan before Sunday's game at Koshien.  The Ni-gun Tigers and Ni-gun Chunichi Dragons will also collect donations before their game at Naruohama.  Donations will be submitted to the Japanese Red Cross Society in Hyogo.


The Orix Bufaloes will collect donations for Northern Japan with the help of the Chunichi Dragons before their game on Sunday at Kyocera Dome.  About six players will call on fans to chip in.  Donations will be submitted to the Japanese Red Cross Society.


The Yokohama Bay Stars announced today that they their Sunday exhibition game against the Seibu Lions at Yokohama Stadium will be considered a charity match.  Players from either team will spend time collecting donations before the game.
