Softbank Hawks

Shingo Tatsumi rejoined the Ichi-gun roster today and will be given another shot at making the opening day roster, this time as a reliever.

Nippon Ham Fighters

5th round draft pick Toshiharu Moriuchi was initially pegged as a possible right-handed reliever but could end up finding his way to the starting rotation since Hideki Kuriyama feels he could be a better fit there.

Kuriyama jokingly told reporters that he decided not to punch Yuki Saito for his performance during the charity game on Saturday and would instead just collect a 600 yen fine for the six pitches batters made contact on.

Saito responded by saying, "[Kuriyama] is including the three pitches that were fouled off?"

Sunday's Kyoiku League game against Yokohama at Kamagaya: Masahiro Inui started the game and tossed four shutout innings while allowing two hits.  He also struck out three and topped out at 141km/h. [Nikkan Sports]

Rakuten Eagles

The coaches decided to demote Teppei on Sunday due to his struggles at the plate.
